Hello!

Happy hump day! Hope you're cruising through the week like our favorite humpy pals, the humphead Maori wrasses!

Let's catch up on what's been happening in the past month!

It has been an eventful month for us, as you might have seen on our Instagram stories. June came to a close with a flurry of work. Tourism boards were looking to utilize their remaining annual budgets, so we pushed ourselves to deliver as much content as possible for their consideration. Additionally, we were busy wrapping up our own EOFY tasks.

Shortly after, Hayden received news that his grandad was unwell with a blood infection. We swiftly made our way to land, and Hayden caught the next available flight to be by his grandad's side. Unfortunately, as he was boarding the flight, he received a heartbreaking call informing him of his grandad's passing.

Despite the circumstances, Hayden continued with the flight to Melbourne, where he spent meaningful time with his family, attended the funeral, and returned to Airlie Beach two weeks later. During his absence, Lily handled the boat solo, navigating through a mix of delightful and challenging weather conditions.

Hayden made it back to Airlie Beach just in time for his birthday! It was such a treat to gather with some of our closest friends and celebrate his 31st year. Good times, good vibes, and good friends - what else could you ask for?

The hottest new social media app is here - and this one could be a game changer!

Fun fact:

ATTN: Beer lovers!

In ancient Sumeria around 1800 BCE, the world's oldest known recipe was discovered. And guess what? It's a beer recipe! The Sumerians loved beer and considered it a gift from the gods. They even had a goddess of beer named Ninkasi.

The recipe was found on a clay tablet called the "Hymn to Ninkasi." It gives step-by-step instructions on how to brew beer using barley, water, and dates.

So, the next time you're enjoying a cold one, remember that you're participating in a tradition that goes way back to the time of the Sumerians. Cheers to that!

Monthly inspo:

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela

We love this! True greatness in life is not about avoiding failure altogether but about how we rise up after each fall!

Wishing you all a fantastic day, week, and month ahead!

With waves of love,

Lil & Haydo
