Let us give you a quick lowdown on what's been happening lately: So, over the past few weeks, it's been quite the adventure. We had my (Lilys) 14-year-old sister, Abbie, hang out with us during her school break, and it turned out to be an incredibly memorable time. She experienced many firsts: her first time snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, her first swim with a turtle, and even her first encounter with a shark. We also took a special trip to Palm Island, an invitation-only Aboriginal community, where we learned about the history of the Palm Island group. On the surrounding islands, we explored WWII bunkers and radar stations and showed Abbie the remains of an old leper colony. And just to add a bit of badassery to the mix, we taught her how to crack open a coconut with a machete. Sorry, Mum – but it was all in good fun!
