Sustainability

Most people know we live and work from our sailing boat on the Great Barrier Reef—which means our lifestyle is naturally pretty low impact. We never set out to “be sustainable”—we just followed what we loved, and this way of living came with it. It just feels right.

We travel using the wind.
We make our own power through solar and wind.
We catch rain and make water.
And we even gather some of our food along the way—like fresh seafood and wild coconuts.

We spend as many days as possible out in nature—on reefs, islands, beaches, and coastlines. Especially when the sun is out.

We also try to support conservation in other ways—helping non-profits, taking part in citizen science, and collecting rubbish from places most people never reach (or even know exist!).

Ps - in case you’re wondering—Greener is actually Hayden’s last name. A lot of people assume we called ourselves The Greener Two because of our eco-conscious lifestyle, but the name actually came from a silly moment singing Missy Higgins’ “The Special Two” and swapping in “Greener” as a joke. It stuck! And it’s perfect in all the ways.
